Maddy was 17 when she passed away in her sleep last September. She was a happy, beautiful, fun-loving young lady that had the whole world at her feet. Her family are still coming to terms with their devastating loss.

Her post-mortem revealed she had a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which caused her heart to fail. Since Maddy has passed we have been completely shocked by the amount of people that are affected by the condition and other heart conditions which can go undetected causing sudden death like with Maddy.

Every week in the UK at least 12 young people lose their lives to undiagnosed heart conditions. C-R-Y is a charity started in 1995 to raise awareness of this along with helping to organise heart screening days for 14-35 year-olds offering ECG and echocardiograms. Maddy would've been 18 on April the 19th and we have decided to host a memorial ball in her name to help raise money to fund a local screening day in Colchester.

We would like to ask if your business would like to support this local event by donating a prize for our raffle/ auction. We also have a memorial page set up for monetary donations https://www.c-r-y.org.uk/madison-campbell.

We would like to offer our thanks in advance for your support and appreciate your time in reading this.

If you would like to contact us for any more information my email is kelcam77@aol.com.
